Who we are

What we collect and why
Table requests. When you send the booking form we receive your name, phone number and/or email address, the day, time and number of people, and anything you write in the notes box. We use this only to answer your request and to hold your table.
Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into an arrangement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You don’t have to use the form; you can phone us instead. Without contact details we can’t confirm a booking.
Please don’t include allergy or other health information in the form. Tell the staff on the day instead.
No cookies, no tracking. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. If we switch on a simple count of button presses (such as “call” or “directions”), it records only which button was pressed, the page and the language: nothing that identifies you and nothing stored on your device. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the website helps guests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visiting this website. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep short technical logs (such as IP address and time of visit) to keep the site secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Links to other sites. Links to Google Maps, Google reviews and Tripadvisor open those services, which handle your data under their own privacy policies. Nothing is loaded from them until you click.
Who receives your data
- Our website hosting provider: Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages), under its own privacy policy.
- The service that delivers booking requests to our inbox: [café to confirm]
We don’t sell your data or use it for marketing. If any provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under safeguards recognised by EU law, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Booking requests are deleted [30] days after the date of the booking, unless we need them longer to deal with a complaint.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR). Contact us using the details above. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission: 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963, or online at dataprotection.ie.
